How to make a BrushBot/WiggleBot

Hi everyone. So i am back with a very simple robotic project this time. Anyone who wants to introduce robotics to their kids this is a very easy project to start with.
I made a video tutorial this time. It is a first for me so please do excuse the quality of the video.
Just a few points that i would like to make which i have not mentioned in the video.

I have used a pager motor for this project and not a DC motor. You can do this with a DC motor but if you want to get the vibrating effect it would be better to use the pager motor.
A pager motor is a motor that makes pager and mobile phones vibrate. I found mine in an old Sony Ericson W series phone. It was not easy to take this phone apart but fortunately when i finally took it out the motor was working. So worth it :).
I did try this with a DC motor that i used before with the wiggle bot experiment. If you attach only the DC motor without the fan the brushbot does not move. It moves if you attach the fan but a brushbot as the name suggests needs to be done preferably with a tooth brush and for that the tiny pager motor suits the best.
You need the following items:
1. The brush part of a toothbrush
2. A pager motor
3. A button cell
4. 2 small wires
5. Double sided tape
So please follow the tutorial and make your own brushbot.

Wagging tail Cat

This is a fun project that you could do for your kids. My daughter loves Cats and so i decided to do something that involved a cat after seeing it in an art and craft show on TV.
You need the following:
1. Cardboard
2. Straws
3. Bamboo skewers or sticks
4. Paint
5. Pipe cleaner
6. Magnet
7. 2 Crazy balls
8. Few pompoms
9. Masking tape

1. Draw a cat on the cardboard and cut out the shape. Make two of them. Cut the tail separately. Take a rectangle cardboard strip which will be the mount for the Cat. Mark 4 lines in front and 4 lines at the back with a 1/2 inch gap. This will be the place where the cats will stand. Paint them in the color of your choice.

2. Take 2 crazy balls or small rubber balls and cut them in half.

3.Make 2 holes in one end of the tail cut out.

4. Take the magnet and pass the pipe cleaner through it. Cover it with a masking tape.

5. Pass the other end of the pipe cleaner through the first hole of the tail and cover it with a masking tape.

6. Take 2 straws and place it in under the mount board as shown below.

7. Place the 2 cat cut outs as shown.

8.Pierce holes near the place where the tail will go in both the cat cut outs.

9.Take a small piece of the bamboo skewer and pierce one end in the hole of the cat at the back. Put a bead or pompom next, then push the stick in the second hole of the tail, put another bead or pompom and finally push the stick in the hole of the cat in the front.

10.Take a bamboo skewer and poke one end in one crazy ball, put it through the straw and poke the other end in another half of the crazy ball. Repeat for the second straw. Now give a nudge or a push the cat will go forward wagging its tail.

Check out the video here:

Add a thread in the front of the mount board and just pull the cat and check out its wagging tail
