Paper Flower(Tulip)

Hi Guys, am posting my recreation of tulip flower using crepe paper. For video instructions go to YouTube and type 'How to beautiful paper tulip flowers/DIY Valentine's day craft'.

You need the following items:
Crepe paper of any color
Scissors
Thread
Glue
Paper

1. Cut a strip of crepe paper of 15cm x 25 cm. Then cut 5 strips each of about 5cm wide. Make petals out of all 5 of them.


2. To make a stem roll an A4 size paper or newspaper. Glue and trim the edges. Take 3 petals and hold them to the top of the stem so that they overlap each other. Tie a thread around the 3 petals. Take the remaining 2 petals and put them around the 3 petals. Tie a thread again. Open the petals slightly. Take a green crepe paper and put it around the stem.

Your paper tulip flower is ready!!!!!

Crepe paper flowers

I found this video on YouTube of making flowers out of crepe paper streamers. Its titled 'How to make paper flowers out of crepe streamers/DIY Valentine's day craft'.

This is my recreation of it. The instructions on the video are very clear.

I did not get crepe streamers so i had to cut out strips from crepe paper. If you get crepe streamers it would be better since you will get straight lines. In the 3rd picture were i have arranged the pink flower make sure to pull the thread tightly to get the petals more closer. I did not do that so the petals in my flower have spread a little bit. The outcome is good either way :).
